We have been seeing a lot of Pantone’s colour of the year, Rose Quartz and Serenity being used in a lot of decor lately. A first time for Pantone to release 2 colours in one year. they describe this combination as “a harmonious pairing of inviting shades that embody a mind-set of tranquillity and inner peace.” What do you think?
At first we weren’t 100% sure we liked this colour combo, reminding us of sickly over the top kiddies rooms. But paired with the right accent colours these Pantone colours of the year make a dreamy home.
To create a more tranquil and less girly girl setting pair it with dusky greys and copper accessories.
Adding dark bold colours like black and burgundy give Rose Quarts a much more sophisticated look.
Looking for something a little more subtle. Its easy to add splashes of Rose Quarts and Serenity through your accessories. Cushions throws and artwork are ideal items to layer ontop of a neutral setting.
For a more playful take on the blending of these two tranquil colours add a splash of Lilac. All in all we are quite fond of Pantone’s new colours for 2016!
